Hello! I am new to Allnurses and searching for current information on nursing in Northwest Montana specifically the Kalispell/Whitefish area. I am currently living in Western PA. I have my Montana RN license in addition to my PA license and have applied to close to a dozen jobs so far. I only have about 3 months experience but it is critical care nursing. I am also BLS and ACLS certified. I have not gotten a single call yet from North Valley Hospital or KRMC. I also applied to Health Center Northwest with no luck. Is there any other places anyone can recommend applying to? Is the job market hard to break in to in the Kalispell area? What is the pay like? Any advice on how to get my foot in the door would be fantastic! Also, my husband and I will be looking for an apartment or house to rent...can anyone recommend any parts of town to avoid? We are leaving PA April 27 and hope to arrive in Kalispell and get to work by the beginning of May. My husband has visited Kalispell several times but I have never been there. Anyhow, I am happy to hear from anyone who has any advice for me!
