  1. Definitely buy the books from half.com, abebooks.com, and even amazon has some good deals on books. I bought the Cummings book for $71 from half.com (for sure on the price, not so sure on the site...) The trick is to get the international version. Same book, different cover, less than half the price! Waiting until next paycheck to get Jarvis and Lewis! What's the book we'd need for Fundamentals of Nursing? I thought it was Jarvis...
  2. never mind...i found it. :)
  3. Also, is it the 9th edition of Cummings?
  4. Not sure, really. Since we don't have the syllabi out yet, it's hard to tell. The reason I asked was because almost all the syllabi I looked at from 2010 mentioned that author's textbook.
  5. How about Ignatavicius?
  6. So do you recommend reading those texts? Is there any other literature that sticks out with you? What about the 5e vs 6e of Jarvis?
  7. Another undeclared student here! I've been looking online to get a feel for what our coursework is going to be like, but I think it'd be a lot easier if someone from 2011's cohort gave us a heads up on what to start reading...I already know about Jarvis' book and I'm getting a feeling we'll be needing Ignatavivius' book, too. However, Jarvis published a new 6e of her book, so I'm wondering if we really need to purchase that one...you all know how eager institutions are to get more money out of you!
