Thanks for your thoughts. Yeah, I was told that most of my work would be in meetings and med assessment. I was just making the point for when I do assessment and such. I also mention my age on here because I look even younger than 21. I won't have to say anything (wouldn't ever do so anyway) for them to know that I'm pretty close to their age.
  2. I will be working at a small pediatric psych hospital so I wasn't too sure if they would offer it. I guess I will find out next week though.
  3. I am a new RN in PA...start my first job next week. We are required to have 30 hours of CE to renew our license. Have any of you guys used ce.nurse.com for getting this done? I can't seem to find many reviews on it. It's $44.95 for the "unlimited" membership. I figure the price is worth it if the site is legitimate and easy to use. Thanks guys.

I passed NCLEX in mid January and finally got the job I have been pursuing since. It's a psych hospital for kids 5-18. I start next week! The part that is interesting here is that I am only 21. I am wondering how my age will affect everything. I figure that some patients might open up more to me because I'm close to their age and I'm not really an "adult" in their eyes. On the other hand, I also figure I will have patients that will try to intimidate and manipulate because of the same reason.
  5. I had a ton of SATA to start out as well...probably half of the first 30 were.
  6. Well, since we graduate next month I assume it's the "exit" exam. Don't have to score some insane amount to graduate, just remediation if you don't do as well. 2010 version
  7. I got a 71% on the ATI predictor (180 questions, only 150 are used) and have a 92% probability of passing NCLEX on the first try. How much weight should I put in to this? If any of you have taken this, what was your probability percentage and how well did you do on the actual boards?
  8. Like a few of you have said, I have also received what seems to be a little better treatment than the girls. I actually got to do what everyone else did in OB rotations, which was an experience to say the least. I think that the girls and the instructors appreciate us very few (4 of us out of 35), most likely due to the small number!
  9. 4 out of 34. We started out with around 9 out of 75. I am also the only one in the program under 21. I turn 21 the week of graduation!
  10. I'm in a 28 month RN program. I am just finishing up Nursing 3 (goes to N6) next week and have one year of school left (I turn 21 the week of graduation!). Nursing I had a 86%, Nursing II an 82%, and have an 83% right now in N3 before the final. I have been trying to do some sample NCLEX quizzes/questions and found myself getting in the 55-65% range on those. I took the free Kaplan 50 question NCLEX practice exam and only got a 50%. Should I be concerned?
