  1. I agree! That would be great if you could start one. I got in as well with the WHC. So excited!! I'll probably need a roommate(s) too! Congratulations everyone!
  2. Yes, they said that we would find out around the last week of April (wk of the 23rd) after the last info session. The WHC notifications would be soon after that.
  3. It was fine. The information session was all about the school, cost of attendance, and q&a. 4 current students also came and talked to us. All informational. The WHC day was more formal. We toured the whole hospital and then did individual interviews with the faculty.
  4. I was actually wondering the same thing! I haven't received any emails. All I know from the initial email is that it's at 2pm. I'm assuming it's at St. Mary's Hall b/c that's where the nursing dept is located. I was going to email them tomorrow to find out. From reading the past year's posts, it sounds like people didn't find out until end of April or early May.
  5. Hi! I picked Georgetown b/c it's a really good program and they have the WHC scholarship. I would have applied to Hopkins and NYU as well but they are too expensive and have no scholarships. If money wasn't a factor, I definitely would apply to those programs too. I'm interested in pediatrics as well, but if I am accepted for the WHC scholar program then at least I know I will have a job right after graduation. Even though there is a need for nurses, it takes time to get a job as a new grad in the current economy b/c older nurses are coming out of retirement or staying longer in their positions. I've read in posts from past years that there is an option to break your contract with WHC; you just have to pay back what you basically borrowed. Having at least 1 year experience as a nurse opens up more job opportunities.
  6. Yes, my interview will be on 3/31 at WHC. I just got the itinerary for that interview. I'll let you know how it goes after next weekend. :)
  7. Thanks for starting this thread TXgirl912! I'm going to the 3/30 info session. Did you guys also apply for the WHC scholar?
