hey guys, classes are starting soon! have you all purchased your stethoscope&scrubs yet? I am a bit on the late side and have not purchased mine. Does anyone have any recommendations as to where I should buy these? Would I need a stethoscope on the first/second week?

For the level 1 textbook list, do we need the online course registration code with the Canadian Fundamentals of Nursing book? Also, does anyone know if there is a big difference between the 4th edition and the revised 4th edition?

Hi, I was wondering... does anyone know if Richmond hospital is one of the possible hospital placements for level 1 students?

I was accepted to the Jan 2012 intake and was able to defer my acceptance to Aug 2012, so I'm guessing that if you are accepted, you'd likely be able to defer too?As for who to contact, I usually just email the nursing@bcit email to ask any questions. They are pretty quick with responding.

Hi! Another question to you guys about the immunization records. I've asked about this earlier and was told that I could just get a blood test if I don't have any records. I was wondering, for those of you that are getting the blood tests, did your doctor also test for MMR and polio? The doctor I visited today said polio was no longer done and I could ask my public health unit for the MMR records (since the form I showed him said that serology was not required for MMR). However, I have moved quite a bit when I was a child and finding the right place to contact for these records might be hard. I was wondering if you guys had to do the same or did your doctor just suggest a serology for these as well?

Hi, I was just wondering if you guys know when the orientation is? I was accepted for Jan 2012 and deferred my acceptance to August, so I haven't received any new notices regarding the orientation but would like to attend. Thanks! :)

Hey guys, I have been provisionally accepted for Aug2012 after having deferred my acceptance in Jan2012. From when I was provisionally accepted, I had completed the prerequisites with around 100 credits of post secondary. I have also recently completed 6 credits of psychology last semester. Now that it is getting closer to August, I was wondering if anyone else who has been provisionally accepted has completed their immunization records? I have not kept my records from elementary/high school and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction as to where I could obtain them? Thank you!
