  1. I just recently graduated PN school and waiting to take my boards in a few weeks now to get licensed. I've always been interested in relocating to NC. I'm 25 and still want to go on for my RN and eventually BSN. Been looking at wilimington because I've also heard its a nice city and close to the coast which is what I'm looking for in terms of change of scenery having lived in Boston all my life. Wanted to know how your experience was in terms of finding a job, apartment, further schooling in the area? any recommendations you have or other areas in NC or the surrounding areas that you would recommend instead? I just want to be able to travel and experience different parts of the country while I'm still young and thought NC would be a good starting point.
  2. hello, mynames barbara and i just recently graduated from an lpn program inquincy and just mailed out my application to take the nclex. iwant to start looking at where i'm going to go next with nursing. ialready have a bachelors in legal studies from umass amherst and nowhave lpn also. ive been debating between going for my secondbachelors in nursing which would seem the quicker route to getting mybsn or going from lpn to rn and so forth up until i get my bsn. myproblems are as follow... i'vebeen having some difficulty finding information on absn programs inthe massachusetts area. most of the programs deadlines havealready passed or i don't meet the requirements. alot of theschools require a high gpa to be eligible to apply to their programsand unfortunately my gpa from my first bachelors was on the lowerside (it was not until i started nursing school that i truly startedtaking school seriously and did very well in the nursing program). iwould love to hear from people that have gone thru the applicationprocess and experiences from different schools. i am startingto get discouraged about finding an accelerated program whoserequirements i fit. if i'm not able to find an accelerated programwhose gpa requirements are not so high then i will continue on to getmy rn and so forth and take the longer route because nursing issomething i am very interested in and love doing it. fewquestions for those who have taken accelerated programs... tuitioncost of your school gparequirements classsizes andanything else you would like to share . thankyou
