  1. I'm in! Was alternate #2! See you all at orientation! Woohoo :)
  2. I am alternate #2. Trying not to be excited until I know for sure. Anyone wanna share the orientation date? I have CPR & all vaccines
  3. Just glad you're still waiting too! I've checked the mail so early the last 2 days in anticipation, and constantly checking my email. Be sure to post shortly after you have your official notice so we know when to expect it!
  4. Haha! Awesome! Thanks for the info! Now c'mon emails!!
  5. Where did you hear this? Exciting!
  6. Anyone gotten an email yet? No letter in the mail today...so its either tomorrow or I'm not in. No email yet either. Gah! Suspense is killing me!
  7. @snb1028, thanks for the information! That will really help with getting my application turned in then! Good luck to you as well!
  8. This will be my 3rd time applying. I applied last fall and the cutoff was 17. I was in the 40s as far as alternates. For spring 2013 I was alternate #15. Both times I had 16 points. This time im applying with 17 points and crossing my fingers. Waiting on my cna card to come in the mail so I can turn in my application, currently taking a&p2 and alp that I have left is microbiology. Considering lpn school if I don't get in this time and then doing the career ladder pathway.Good luck to everyone!
  9. I spoke to one of the directors this morning, I can't name names on here, but she said that they had a record # of applicants(we knew that) and that I (#15) probably won't be called, unless a lot of people drop, unlikely. I'm ok with that. Going to focus on getting a&p 2 in the spring, that will leave just micro left besides the NP courses. And apply again for fall. I like the day time schedule more, but was willing to do either! :) going to apply to the local LPN program as well. And land where im supposed to. Congrats to you all, I will either see you in the fall or apply for the career ladder in 14. Good luck!
  10. Congrats Katherine! I know how nervous you were! I pulled up Mineonline, and went to the NP1 course under "search and register" and it shows that theres 8 spots still available. Have you all already registered for it? If so, I wonder if they really hold spots for NP1 students that might need to repeat it too, ah! this waiting is painful. I didnt think Id get nervous, kept telling myself not to, but I think as this semester is almost over, its getting harder to push the thoughts out of my mind.
  11. I was alternate 42 last semester, and was told I had a great chance this time, when I called a few weeks ago, I was told that I should just wait on a letter or call or email. I'm going to go by tomorrow, and talk with someone face to face. Crossing fingers that atleast 15 alternates get in!
  12. thats great that you got your call! let me know how today goes! if anyone just gets up and walks out, like I have heard some do! lol. Im alternate #15 and I know that its a long shot, especially as its getting closer and closer and so few have been called, but I expect things come up and maybe... JUST MAYBE... I could get a call in January at the latest. Not going to be bummed if I dont as Im already planning other ways, but let me know how that meeting goes!
  13. Yea it would suck but not as bad as not getting a call! you should be fine! When is orientation? I imagine my call (if it happens at all) will be after for sure... but I will be just as happy if I can get into a 1+1 program. Even though the drive to Moore Norman would be a bit of a drive for me everyday, but I'll take it! I was accepted into another LPN program last summer for the fall(closer to home) but decided I would chance it one more time and try to get in to the RN program. Im kicking myself in the rear now, but hopefull.
  14. I called today, I was just curious as to how many people on the alternate list get called. The lady I spoke to said that shes seen as many as 20 something get in. So, Im going to get my CPR training done anyways, and be prepared in case I get a call (which I bet can happen all the way in to mid-January) and I also asked about the 1+1 program, I was told that she thinks they do the admissions for that in both spring and fall. I was unsure because the LPN programs usually start in the fall and I wanted to be sure that it was an option, the lady I spoke to today said the letters are usually sent out much later for the 1+1 program. I have to admit, it has taken me since we got our acceptance/denial letters to get to this point of actually calling the program. Ready and on track now ( crossing fingers) and have my plan B set up in case.
  15. Congrats to all who got in! this was my 2nd time applying, and I got alternate #15. #2 & #3 you guys have a great chance at getting in! Im going to go ahead and get all of my immunizations, and CPR and be ready just in case by some luck of the draw that I get a phone call in December or January. It was a total let down not getting in this time, and Ive spent the last 2 days stewing... I know, its not good lol. But, Im going to keep trying. Plan on taking a CNA course, to add 1 point to my preference points and continue to bring my GPA up. Gonna call and see if I can find out what the cut off was last fall, so I have an idea. I had 16 points and a 2.62 GPA both last fall and this time around. Good luck to everyone who got in! maybe the alternates can keep us all updated as they get called, so we kind of know whats going on, and if we have a chance!
