Hello, I'm a nursing student with a question that I need assistance with the answer. I told the family I would reply with an answer within a few days. A dialysis patient has 80 boxes of Paratineal, included in the box is 6 red bags, 6 yellow, and 6 green bags in a box. Each box weighs about 35 pounds. The hospital will not take the medication and the police department tried to retrieve this medication however the water department stated they can't dump it down the drains. So this family has this abundance of medicine in their home occupying space. The patient was hospitalized for some time however the medicine kept coming. Now they asked me to help and I need someone else's assistance on how to direct this family in the proper removal of this medication. Remember they have a total of 80 boxes. Any solutions????
