  1. I got an acceptance letter from ISU before this thing happened and I have been in touch with them, then last week, I recieved a check from ISU which corresponded to the admission fee that I paid (I am on the phase 2 of the program) so I guess that's it for the program with ISU. Then last Monday, I contacted TCN and spoke with Lorie, she was really helpful, I asked her regarding the consumer loan that I entered with TCN because I told her that since there is no program anymore, I would like to move on and I don't want any liabilities. I want the contract that I signed with TCN null and void because they will not be able to deliver what I have signed for. she then told me she needed to ask people responsible for those transactions and then she would call me before the week ends. Yesterday, I got a call from her and she told me that TCN will refund me everything that I have paid for so now, I am waiting for the bank statement to see a reversal of the charges that TCN made. I hope and pray that TCN will honor what they have said.
  2. I empathize with you, me too I am already set to go into the program early summer of 2013 then this thing happened. Did you also recieve a letter of acceptance from ISU? Anyways, what about continuing the online studies then perhaps make arrangements with ISU where we can all take our clinicals by batch or cohort and take the NCLEX-RN out of state then get a reciprocity to be able to practice here in CA? Any input on this idea???
  3. Hi Unicbabe, do you know where in SD the meeting will be held? If I can, I will try to drive down too. But in any case, can you post here what will transpire. Thanks
  4. I also recieved a letter same as yours thunderstruck1397 and this is how my story goes. I applied at ISU and got accepted last Aug. then ignoring all the comments I have read here, I went ahead and also went the TCN route for my phase 2. When I recieved the letter from ISU, I immediately called my advisor from TCN and I was informed that anyone accepted before Sept. is not affected. but then again until we see it in writing, nothing is definite yet. I am just wondering if we CA students can still continue with the online studies then make arrangements with ISU for our phase 3 clinicals somewhere out of CA and eventually take the nclex-rn out of state and apply for reciprocity so we can practice here in CA. I know this would take a lot of logistics and will cost us more but this is just my two cents worth so we can finish our BSN program. If you guys have any suggestions perhaps you can share it. Anyways, this is just plan b or c or whatever incase the meeting on 9/27 falls through.
  5. hi, I'm from the Philippines, I took the NCLEX-PN for the first time last December and passed it. I just read the Saunders comprehensive review book and did the mock tests of the ATI review materials for an hour a day. Goodluck
