Need a A or High B on next exam
I failed my first nursing exam of the semester. A lot worse than I thought I was going to get. I'm now needing help to figure out how raise my grade, because I need a 76% or higher in order to go to my final stages of nursing school next semester. Since it's the beginning of the semester, I want to take this by the horns more than ever to get a better score. So now I'm open to any suggestions, articles, anything. I have ADHD so that sometimes makes things harder for me to focus, but I'm going to use that as my crutch. I am open to any studying techniques. Because I'm going to pass this class one way another (Med-Surg III). Also I am needing good studying tips for Maternity. Thank you all.

Study tips for exams? NEED HELP ASAP!!!
I am a new nursing student going through the second stage of nursing through a LPN-RN program at the college I am currently residing. I failed my first mental health exam, and that was my own fault because I didn't study enough. However, I studied really good for my Med-Surg exam earlier this week. I feel however I will not do good on this one, just because there was material on there that I did not see during lectures or lab. So I have the feeling that I am going to be failing this one as well. I am freaking out because there are only two exams and the then the final to make up for the the bad test grade on both classes. I am desperate for studying tips, ad how other former nursing students got through these types of exams. Especially if a professor did not go over something in lecture??? I have done the flash cards and whatnot, but I don't think that will be enough. That is why I am asking for help. I am desperate. I want to get at least a B+ on my next exam, just so that way it can make up for my bad grades. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Got offered a full time job, but got accepted to prestigious university.
Earlier last month I lost my job. I decided to start putting out applications. Then I decided just out of the blue... "You know what I am going to go get my RN at my dream school! Why not?!" Since I don't want to be a LPN anymore. Well I didn't think much about the jobs I applied until one nursing home decided to call me for a job interview. So I decided, "Okay no harm." Went and had the interview on Wed. and I felt it turned out good. They were looking for mostly PRNs, so I figured that would be the best, since I would be PRN, and then went on my merry way. Not really caring if it was PRN, and if it was I might turn it down. I never told them however that I was going to transfer from my online school to Shawnee state, just because of the fact I might not get into it. And I figured that since it was PRN and over an hour from my house I would politely say no and thank you. Well the big bomb hit, because they want me for a full time position at the nursing home, paying me $22.50/hour. I nearly tripped over my feet, because I have never been offered that my in my life!!! So I need to figure out what I need to do, because I don't know if I should accept the position or not. Especially if I might have to quit by August for school!!! I never expected them to give me a FT position at all!!!! I also really need the job, because of the fact need a income!!! So I don't know if I should tell them that over the weekend I got a letter I applied for a university I got accepted to and I decided to accept. Or just refuse all the way. Or see if there is a way where I can work on the weekends. And then go to my university over the week!!! I let my dream of going to my school of choice slip through my fingers twice. And I am NOT going to let it slip a third time!!!! But I right now I am trying to figure out if I should tell them of me going to school at my university. Or just turn down the job. Really need some advice, because to me this is a big deal. I never expected to be offered a full time job. Since I only expected a PRN.

Indiana State affiliated with College Network
I have been reading a lot about The College Network and Excelsior not being affiliated. I signed up with The College Network last year, and had to put off school, due to my job interfering with my studies. I am going to get back on the horse and start up school. I am however concerned, because I am reading a lot about how The College Network is not affiliated with Excelsior or ISU. Is this true, that TCN is not affiliated with Indiana State U????

The College Network - Legit or Scam?
I already signed up for TCN-ISU. Are you saying that TCN has nothing to do with ISU at all?

Should I put my last job down as a reference
I lost my job on Monday. I am now trying to figure out if I should put them down on my resume or job applications. If I do I would have about i 9 months of experience, if I don't I would only have 6 months. I asked my boss if I could use her as reference, because she said I have a lot of potential, but she said she can't due to corporate. I am going to use some CEUs to make up for the mistakes I made so I won't mess up again, but I just don't know if I should put them down or what.

I should clear that up. What I meant was that while other nurses I knew would say it was not a big deal it was a big deal to me. I can't tell a lie to save my life, that is why I fessed up to any mistakes that I made.

I know I am going to sound silly, but what do you mean by "Gravity"?
-
Got fired for the first time.
I understand. That is why I owned up to my mistakes. Because some of the nurses I have talked to have told me which I didn't agree with was even if you gave a vitamin you weren't supposed to or too much cough syrup don't tell.

Got fired for the first time.
I made four med errors in the past month and a half. All of the that were not biggies, but I felt compelled to report them, because I didn't want to lie.

Got fired for the first time.
I lost my job today. I am so devastated. I kept making mistake after mistake when I didn't mean to. It was also the job of my dreams, and I hate that I lost it. Now after crying for a few hours, I am going to start looking for a new job right away, even though there will be no better job then the one I just lost. I don't know thought if I should put my latest employer though on my resume and applications. If I do, how am I suppose to explain I was let go? I only worked there for three months. I don't know what to do right now. My boss can't be used as a work reference which stinks because she says I have great potential. Any ideas?

Been an LPN for almost a year and still can't get a job.
I graduated from LPN school back in April of '11. It has been a year now, and I still can't find a job! Is this going to hurt me because nobody will give me anything? What should I do? I am desperate! I have lost count on how many applications I have put out, and what frustrates me even more is that all of my classmates have LPN jobs, and I am the only one who hasn't gotten one! What should I do?! I put out a nice resume, and I show up all dressed professionally, and I show them that I am a hard worker! Any advice would really be appreciated it. I need some help really bad!
