  1. Is there a hiring freeze with the VA?

    Lurtsman posted a topic in Colorado Nursing
    I was searching for positions with the VA and could not find any positions for an RN. Does anyone know if a hiring freeze is in place? I contacted the nurse recruiter but haven't heard anything in response. It seems nursing jobs are pretty hard to find in Colorado, but none with the VA seems pretty crazy. Searches on usajobs came up empty. It appears this may impact the entire Eastern Colorado region. I was hoping for something with the clinics in Colorado Springs, but calling them results in a transfer to the HR department in Denver, which results in a transfer to the nurse recruiter, which results in no reponse.
