I just completed a one semester course in inorganic/organic chemistry at the University of South Alabama this summer. The average grade was a C, but I received an A because I really put in the time and studied. For the 16 days before the final, I studied at least six hours every day. I thought organic was trickier than than inorganic. To make sure I earned an A, I attended every class and took good notes. I also made about two hundred flash cards. Most importantly, whenever I had to determine how an organic chemical would react, I drew a complete diagram with all the hydrogen bonds. You need to understand the role of every atom in an organic compound. Attention to detail is the key to mastering organic chemistry.
