I was recently laid off. Some background- I was a clinical educator and trauma program manager at my last job and had been on the test team taking the prophecy tests. I had done VERY well on the situational and attitudinal tests. I had been a successful employee of ten years with glowing annual performance reports. Well respected, liked by staff, considered a resource. Anyway, after I was laid off I applied for an Emergency Department position- the unit I had been in prior to the lay off and where I had been very successful. I had to officially take the Prophecy tests during the application process despite still being an employee. This time, I scored very low in the attitudinal test. So I actually have some concerns about the test. Clearly my test was skewed due to my emotions after being laid off. The attitudinal issues it 'prophesied' have not been evident in my ten years of employment so do beware that one's situational environment can very much effect your results. As to time, it didn't take me near 3 hours to complete, the four tests probably took an hour and a half. How effective is it for the organization? Not so sure, turnover continues to be high so I don't know truly how helpful the testing has been. Morale here- make sure to bulk yourself up prior to taking the attitudinal tests. Get a massage, do what you need to do to feel go. Don't ever, ever take the test after having negative or sad things happen in your life as I did, right after a lay-off. That will show.
