Cry Baby
I tend to have an extremely thick skin and I never cry over anything. However, I fully expect to shed a few tears during OB seeing that first baby born. I cannot have kids, so I expect this to be emotional for me (happy emotions).

What is a day in your life?
Monday: class from 955am until 215 pm. Rush home and work until around midnight. Study for 2-3 hours. Tuesday: class from 8am until 105pm. Rush home and work until around midnight. Study for 2-3 hours. Wednesday: same as Monday. Thursday: same as Tuesday. Friday: class from 9am until noon. Rush home and work until midnight. Study for 2-3 hours. Saturday: Work for about 5 hours. Study for the rest of the day. Sunday: same as Saturday. I also shower, get about 5 hours sleep per night (this is actually my sweet spot with hours of sleep) and I eat usually once a day (go to my moms and bug her for food lol because I cannot cook at all). I only eat that often because I am only hungry once a day. I also squeeze in 30 minutes of exercise a day (this is my "me" time). Social life revolves around study groups when my classmates and I have time to get together. I am in my second semester.

New BSN Student, Feeling Helpless :(
This feeling is something I think a lot of students deal with, and you are not alone. I have days where I think, "OMG, I just cannot get this all done!" When you have these feelings, take a break for a little bit. Personally, I find an episode of Family Guy to be cathartic. The wine suggestion above is also a good one :) I imbibe on those nights where I just want to kick something. Just try to take it one day at a time. I know this can be hard, but it helps.

Nursing School and Working Full-Time?
I work 50 hours a week minimum (this is absolutely necessary for my expenses). I get zero help (single and my small family is far from wealthy) and also get zero financial aid, so I am paying full tuition out of pocket. I care for my grandmother and a teen (legal guardianship). I attend an accelerated program full-time (four classes this semester). I would be lying if I said it was easy. I would also be lying if I said it was impossible. I have 2 BAs already and had this same crazy schedule through them. I maintain high grades. It is all about finding balance and working out a really good schedule. Finding balance is difficult and I have days where I am literally flying by the seat of my pants to get all of my obligations met. I am in my second semester of nursing school and it is incredibly challenging, but doable. I am of the mind that if this is what you really and truly want, you will make it work and get it done no matter what. This is what I continue to tell myself on those days where I am so exhausted that I am ready to fall over :) I just know that in a little over a year, this will be done and I can sit back and be proud that I got it done. Also, I will absolutely be doing my Masters part-time lol
