  1. Got the email last week. Good luck! Did you apply for FNP? I heard that is more competitive.
  2. Got accepted to MSN NP Acute
  3. I had to be on nights because they lacked preceptors for days. They found one after I told them I really did not fair well at night.
  4. Wow thanks for your advice. I will send my ANM an email explaining how I am not a good suit for nights but will comply if really needed. She sent an email out to 4 of us newbies, and asked for 3 to switch. How do you peeps get 90k-100k? I start at $22 here, with taxes, FSA, and health insurance, on days I take home about $1350/2weeks. It's pathetic. And how many overtime shifts do you do a week?
  5. I was hired on days as a graduate nurse, finished orientation and worked by myself for 1 month. I am a day person and do not do well at night. But right now, my unit is short of night shift nurses and my ANM has asked for me to switch to night. I am concerned that I am unable to stay awake for patient safety. Prior to this, I did 2 weeks of nights during orientation and felt really horrible at it. My question is, was it ethical for the manager to have hired me during days and now request for me to work nights.
  6. KMcDaniel11, It might be for standby.
  7. Today is the last day to hear anything if you are waitlisted.
  8. Me too! I think a lot are just holding up 2 or more places in several colleges. Or maybe most people who get called off wait list are just not on this forum. Idk. However, if there are a few of us on the top half, it is impossible that only one got called :S
  9. Zeus&Lincoln, yes I did. Im at the top half, middle. 50 waitlisted this year. Waiting is going to be hard, especially when there's an ounce of hope.
  10. yes they are. i managed a phone call on friday after the results were released and couple of emails back and forth yesterday :)
  11. Does anyone know how many people they have on the waitlist this year?
  12. Congrats Nikki & mmp7017! akinney613, how about you?
  13. I don't know why I'm stalking this page because the results are not here. Officially a nutcase.
  14. Apparently you can't change it after you click submit. I have a B in my chemistry and I did 8.0 credit hours in chemistry (A levels) and they counted it all, even though you only need 3.0. Sigh. I already feel rejected, honestly. I emailed and said it's not fair because someone can get a B for 4.0 or 3.0 and it won't be counted as 8.0.
  15. I have an X on University Credit Hour Requirements. Does anyone know what that means?
  16. I just figured that they used a prereq with lower GPA (they used Gen Socio instead of Gen Psych, I submitted both since I did them) so that's why my GPA is lower Feel like puking now, it's making me nervous. Urgh.
  17. Click 'Submit Report' then the 'Results' tab.
  18. I am asking because my Uni Req is much higher and Prereq is lower. :/
  19. I can see mine too! Does anyone know whats University Req and Prerequisite?
  20. Thanks Nikkilicious for your explanation. If I don't get in this year, then I'll probably apply again. But 1 year of waiting is quite long. Is it easier to get their normal track program as compared to the accelerated?
  21. Hi, I'm not trying to be a wet blanket, but I don't think much will change and applying to the same school will probably not help. This is why: 1. overall gpa won't change much. 2. pre-req gpa won't change 3. TEAS might change. 4. applicants will only get more competitive That's my 2 cents. I'm just figuring out what to do if I don't get in, and will probably not have my hopes up high with the same school.
  22. Did anyone know when did the results for admission came out last year? On a side note, what are your backup plans?
