  1. I also didn't feel my interview was outstanding. I was asked four generic questions, none based on my essay (although I saw it printed out and sitting in front of my interviewer). And, we were each interviewed by only one WHC person of the four that were there that day. I can't (and honestly don't want to) think the interview holds significant weight in the decision making process. We did a group round robin before the interviews where the four WHC staff members/program leaders were taking notes on each of us, so perhaps that combined with the interview will help guide the decision making process. I don't know, I've been turning this over in my brain so much since my interview back in March. It's over and done with now. I just want to know!
  2. Nope, I have not.
  3. At the info session there were both ends of the spectrum and a wide range in between - anything from jeans and a nice shirt to a full business suit. Lots of dresses or skirt suits (maybe because of the nice weather and there were only 4 or 5 men there). I'd say most people were on the dressier side of business casual. At the WHC interviews everyone was dressed professionally as if interviewing for a job - mostly suits. Good luck!
  4. Yep, I was at that first info session and round of interviews too. From what I understood we should be notified about the Gtown and WHC decisions that last week of April. Fingers crossed! I thought the interview was pretty generic and brief. Granted, it was the last part of the day and we were running about 45 minutes behind schedule when they started. I'm curious as to how much weight the interview holds in our overall evaluation...... nothing to do now but wait!
  5. I'm going to the info session tomorrow and got an email yesterday with details about location, parking, etc. I assume everyone who is registered will get that same email prior to their info session.... Emma, I applied to GW a month early and just heard back on March 22. I applied on Jan. 13, got an email on Feb. 15 saying my application was "under review" and received my acceptance letter last week. I was notified via email to log into my GW online application (the one we had to do separate from Nursing CAS) and the letter was there. FYI, there's a separate thread going for the GW program if you wanna jump in there too!
  6. Thanks, dancergirl. Congrats to you too! Are you leaning towards attending? I did go to an info session at the GW Northern VA campus (where classes will be held, not at the main campus in DC). It's pretty far out there in VA but the facilities & lab are newer and nicer than the other two D.C. area schools I visited so far (Marymount & Shenandoah). Just my opinion. The faculty I met were really nice as well. This is a wonderful area to live in. I moved here about 5 years ago and love it. I admit that I am surprised GW wants my declaration of intent and $500 (!) non-refundble deposit by April 11 if I plan on attending. I'll likely send in the deposit and hope for the best from Financial Aid - I've submitted everything (they require more than just the FASFA) and am waiting to hear back from them. My top choice is Georgetown and the WHC scholars program (80% tuition paid for a 3 year committment to work there post-graduation) but I won't know about that until mid-May. If that doesn't work out for me then GW it is!
  7. I applied on January 13, got an email on February 15 saying my application was "submitted for review" and was accepted on March 22! Now onto figuring out the financial aid situation....
  8. I'll be at the Georgetown info session on 3/30 and the WHC interview/tour on 3/31. I also applied to Shenandoah and GW and have been accepted to both. Going to be some tough decisions to make!
  9. I too was concerned that the WHC scholarship had been discontinued as the information that was previously posted on the Georgetown web site was gone. However, I still applied at the end of January and recently got a confirmation email with a timeline and the WHC scholarship information included within it. The email says the WHC program is offering an 80% scholarship with a 3 year committment upon successful completion, which I believe is the same opportunity. I wonder if they're changing the scholarship available for Spring 2013 and wanted to remove it from the web site now as to not mislead future students?
