  1. That was an amazing post. I am still crying.
  2. So Sorry you didn't get in, but try again when the time is right. I had to wait until my son was almost grown before I started. Right now I have a supportive husband and great support network :) I don't think I would have survived this far if I didn't.
  3. I also started my pre-reqs at 34. I am now 37 and I am in my first semester of the RN program. Follow your dreams and keep plugging at it. I am not going to say it has been easy, because its not. I have a wonderful husband and support system to help me along. My house is not clean, (but not super dirty either) and we eat a lot of fast food because of schedules (my husband and youngest son are also in the same college) but I keep my eyes on the prize. I know that in 1.5 years I will achieve a life long dream. I also still have plans to go on for my BSN and eventually my MSN. You have to put your mind to it, not sweat the small stuff and Go for IT!!! You can do IT!!!
  4. I did buy Saunders NCLEX-RN Examination book with CD. I am in my first semester of the Nursing Program, and I have found it very useful. I can go into an individual content area to do a study run through, or I can also have the CD pull out random questions to ask me. As I said, I have found the study guide very useful and consider it a good investment. I would check with your instructors once you start to get their opinions on which one to use.
