I'm in the same boat.. No experience and start school in march. I'm going to try to volunteer between now and the start date as well as study medical terms. Also I will try getting ahold of my first books to start reading. Anyone have any advice? I'm looking forward to the program teaching me everything I need to know to get started. Good luck!

Hello everyone! I have been accepted into my community college ADN program and will beginning in March 2013. The anticipation is killing me but I will be working hard as a waitress until then to save as much money as possible. I have no experience in the medical field and hope to begin volunteering this fall in a hospital. I'm wondering if anyone has any tips on what to do to prepare. I know this is a common question. I'm looking into buying a medical terminology book because my program does not require this as a pre-req and I'm not familiar with many medical terms. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help!
