  1. Tub VS Whirlpool in LDRP

    We are in the process of construction of a new OB unit, here in Juneau, AK . I am trying to contact other OB units to determine if they are putting in whirlpools or deep tubs. I have heard that many are going to tubs instead of whirlpools and that that may have to do with "Infection Control" issues and JCAHO. Do any of you know any hospital building new units or doing extensive remodeling, that I are putting in tubs? I would appreciate knowing the reasons behind this decision, so I can present this to our CEO. Does anyone have any information regarding this? A decission that has to be made ASAP.Thank you in advance. Marcia
