  1. Thanks for your comment! Yes, after this semester I can apply for PCA jobs so hopefully I can get one and that will give me a little more insight!
  2. Thanks for this post!! I am still in nursing school and always wondered about the pros/cons of working night shift besides the obvious of it screwing up your sleep schedule! I have awhile before I start to apply for a job as a RN, but this is something I will definately keep in mind! Knowing this input makes me feel a little more comfortable about being a new grad (eventually!) If I get a job as a night-shift RN, I hope my experience will be great! Thanks again for sharing!
  3. Hello. I am currently a second year BSN student and am constantly thinking about my future after graduation/passing boards. Though it is only my second year and this could all change, I believe I really want to work in the ICU after graduation. Do hospitals generally hire new grads in the ICU or not because of lack of experience? Is there any advice as to what I can do to improve my chances of getting hired in an ICU as a recent grad? I eventually would like to go back to CRNA school and know that the programs require a lot of ICU experience, so I just want to be prepared! Thanks in advance for any suggestions/advice!
