CSULB Fall 2013 BSN
Mine is 9.45 what is an alternate anyway? will an alternate only fight against other alternate or against admitted too? I figured not participating in this forum for the last 3 weeks was a good idea lol. I had no idea when they would send emails. I thought it would be a month after the deadline so I was looking forward to mid march. Getting an email today was a bit surprising to me.

CSULB Fall 2013 BSN
I got an email today for interview as well. Im so glad now. I attended the information section back in september. And they told me it's not an "interview". they won't ask you why you want to be a nurse or something like that. They will have us gather around and do some activity like introduce or something. Im not sure. But it's not a real interview. ANyone with experience can tell us what to expect? does it mean we are accepted to the program already?? or the "interview" will play a critical part in the process as well? I will call -------------- first thing on monday and ask her about this.

Any CSUB Fall 2012 Hopefuls?
hey guys, Im gonna apply for fall 2013 and currently taking my last 2 pre reqs. Im kinda confused about the TEAS test and the general assessment math test. Are they 2 separate tests or the math score is the math portion of the TEAS test? thanks !!

how can I prepare for TEAS?
hi everyone, Im going to apply to CSULB and other CSU nursing schools next spring, so I want to study for the TEAS test right now. I wonder how I can prepare the best for it? I know for the general TEAS, I can buy their study guide online. But is it enough? and how about the TEAS math test? thank you

Im a csulb student majoring in biochem. now want to get in school of nursing.
thanks for your advices. But if that is what happens to nursing for now, then I guess other jobs are not any better. I havent searched for "real" nursing jobs because that is useless for now since I wont graduate as a nurse in 3 years. But again, nurse is always in the list ( if not the top) of in-demand healthcare jobs till 2018. I understand you advice, and I truly appreciate it. it can be called a "fallback" as you said. But doesnt everyone do this? life changes so we have to change, too. This is an "allnurses" forum and I actually expected some encouragement. I will talk to a counselor this week and think more about this (sorry for the rant).

Im a csulb student majoring in biochem. now want to get in school of nursing.
well Im 22 so I dont have much time to decide my career now. My first goal is to go to pharm school, but it requires too much work and effort for me (and I dont have good grades in physics) so I dont follow that path any more. I cant finish my biochem major any soon (need at least 2 more years for a lot of chem courses, and at the moment Im taking pre reqs for nursing school. lucky that pharm school and nursing school have common pre regs). And I will apply to other schools' programs in or even outside CA. Need to do further research on this but can you recommend any good nursing school in /outside CA?

Hello DarkBluePhoenix, thanks for the reply. I will go meet a counselor this monday. So last spring you also applied to the school of nursing as a chem major? did you get accepted? I didnt worry about this until I figured if I need to be a pre-nursing major to apply to the school of nursing. And I decided to work in health care field so I think nursing is suitable for me. oh btw what do you mean by applying to as many programs as possible? you mean I should apply to other nursing programs at other schools right? I know it's impacted and very competitive, but I feel quite confident as well. My grades are very good uptil now and Im trying my best to get all A's for the rest of required courses.

Im a csulb student majoring in biochem. now want to get in school of nursing.
hello all, I transfered to CSULB from OCC last fall and I major in biochem. Now I realize I want to be a nurse and school of nursing in CSULB is my top consideration. So I wonder if I can switch my major from biochem to pre-nursing and then apply, or I can apply with my biochem major? This spring Im taking physio, microbio, o. chem 1. I still have o. chem 2 and biochem which I will take next fall. I will meet a counselor this monday. But Im so worried about this so anyone could answer this? Thanks a lot
