  1. Hello all! So i just had a few questions regarding the Navy Nurse Corps. I'm currently enrolled in a BSN program, which I graduate coming up in May. I am contemplating joining the military. I tried to do some research on the Navy Nurse Corps and what kind of options are available to upcoming new grads. Most of what i found was for more like if you're enrolled with a while left to go still or if you're a high school student considering it or if you're already practiciing as a new nurse. I've already looked into the Air Force, but I wanted to see what the navy has to offer as well. I'm awaiting a recruiter to contact me back, but figured I'd ask for any additional information. i just have a couple questions i was hoping maybe someone could help answer for me: 1. In the AF they have the NTP. Does the Navy has something similar to this? If so, is it really competitive based with a very small number of slots? The AF NTP only had 30 slots for all the applicants. Is the Navy similarly limited? 2. What are the weight and GPA requirements to join? (I have a 3.1 GPA) 3. Do I have to wait a certain period after I graduate or get a certain amount of experience before I can enlist? 4. What is a "DA"? That's all for now! Any and all information you can provide would be fantastic! Thanks!
