  1. My program is integrated but I can absolutely tell you that none of us have any extra time to work. I would spend my entire weekends studying. Health insurance was provided and required by my school at a reasonable cost that's billed like tuition.
  2. Any other USC Class of 2020 members out there?
  3. Most schools give you a very short window to decide and send in the deposit. I think it would be unwise to say no to a done deal and possibly be out some money to later not get accepted at all. I was very blessed in that I was accepted to my top choice and it was the only school I applied to. My other choices had later interview cycles. Good luck!
  4. Just got my letter. I got in too.
  5. Congrats! That's so exciting. When did you find out?
  6. Dang. They must have perfect grades, experience, and interview well to get accepted before half of the applicants were interviewed. Good for them! I interviewed the second week too. Our SRNA guides told us they heard in about 3 days last year.
  7. The way your grades recovered while working on your BSN speaks more for your ability than the grades for your first degree. Be prepared to answer questions about those grades but do not let them hold you back.
  8. I don't know of anyone that has heard anything yet. There's four applicants in my facility.
  9. Many people apply and get in with two years of ICU experience. You know this is your goal so use your time wisely. Learn your craft, get certified and use each patient experience as an opportunity. Don't get into the habit of routine. Look up the reasons why things are done.
  10. I agree with the above. Also, you will probably have a hard time getting into a CVICU without prior adult ICU experience. So by the time you do your regular adult ICU and transfer to CV you're really probably looking at the same timeline you have written.
  11. I wore a blush colored blazer and pencil skirt (Express) with a black and white mini-striped shirt. If you wear heels make sure you have a back up plan or that they won't rub blisters and you are comfortable in them all day. I wore kitten heels and didn't have any issues. I pulled my hair into a low ponytail to look polished and to keep my hands away from it (habit when nervous). My jewelry was minimal and not flashy. Overall, make sure you look professional.
  12. We are all close to Greenville. Search this board for USC interview. I found some good information that way. Also there's a note posted on the Facebook page of "USC school of medicine nurse anesthesia" it has lots Of info. It's from march of 2015. Where are you located?
  13. Oh, I made a typo on the interview date. It's 6/6 not 6/2.
  14. Two of us work in CVICU and two work in ICU. Congrats on the interview.
  15. I received an email invitation to interview on 4/13. I work with three other applicants who also received emails with an interview invitation dated 4/13. We all interview on 6/2.
