  1. I GOT IN!!! got my email today!! im so excited... Congratulations class of 2014!!!
  2. Omg!! Yall are scaring me with your super good GPA's! I only have a 3.4, and everybody else has like over a 3.6! If any thing that will definently hurt me:'( I have heard though that tech looks alot at volunteer work, references, essay, and work experience. So I hope that will help me out:-D im so nervous the closer it gets the more nervous I get!... Every email that comes to my ttu mail I freak out thinking it is an decline letter. Does anyone know how much sooner they send out the declines compared to the acceptances?
  3. TTUekaye, Yes I feel your anxiety! April/May seems like forever! I am very excited to know my status... I have been checking it everyday. I am just so ready to get my career going. I have a pretty good GPA, I wrote an essay, 2 references, work experience, and volunteer work from Covenant in the emergency room. So I am hoping that all of that has given me a chance to be accepted!! I definently dont have the highest GPA that I have seen on here but I still feel like I have a fair chance. I have a 3.4 overall and a 3.4 in my science classes also, not the best but if the lowest to be considered is a 2.5 then I think with the rest of my extras I should be ok. However it doesnt take the anxiety away... you always have that thought in the back of your head " What if i didnt do enough". Well good luck to you!!!
  4. I do not have any back up plans :-(... I was thinking about taking more classes to improve my GPA. I might have to move back to were im from. I am just hoping I get in because I am more than ready to start my career! Im not feeling as anxious anymore either because everything is kind of out of my hands now.
  5. I got my GPA calculations in today. I would say that it took about 2 weeks to process after I recieved all my transcripts. I am so anxious! I just read some information saying that the status for the application will take up to 6-8 weeks after deadline but I know that I have read on here that it will take until late April early May?... IM SOOO NERVOUS! Does any one else have a plan B if they dont get accepted? THANKS
  6. Hello, I am also applying to the 2012 BSN program at Texas Tech. I have a 3.4 overall GPA and a 3.4 in my science courses. I have done volunteer work in the emergency room at Covenant and I am also certified in CPR. I moved here in August and have been finishing up my pre-reqs at Tech. If I do not get into the program I am going to be in trouble lol. I live 9 hours away and I will have to pack up and move back if I am declined. Can someone please give me some insite into what I should expect and if I have a good chance of getting in or not? THANKS!!-
  7. RedRaiderSudent, You and I are in the same boat. I have had a little experience but I feel like my GPA will hurt me!! I hope not, I thought it was pretty good till I got on here and saw others. Did you write an essay? I was told by the nursing advisor that it was very good to have an essay. I dont know!! Im nervous but its all out of my hands now... just a waiting game! - fingers crossed!
  8. Hello poro2023, Wow! your GPA is awesome. I really dont feel like you will have a problem getting in. I dont have that high of a GPA but I do have a lot of extras that I hope will set me over the edge. I just moved up here to do this and only this! I am going to be lost if I dont get in for this fall! Im freaking out. I look on this website and see all of these high GPA's and it gets me scared I have to admit. I don't really have a backup plan and the bad thing is that the BSN is only offered once a year. What do you think that my chances are even though I have a 3.3 GPA. I thought if the minimum was 2.5 that I was doing pretty good but after seeing all of the other peoples GPA's it makes me nervous. I just hope they will give me a chance.
  9. Hello everyone, I am applying to the Traditional BSN program for the Fall of 2012. I have never applied to something that is so important to me. I was wondering if anyone on here could give me and insite on how the acceptance goes. I have a 3.4 overall GPA and not sure exactly about my science classes GPA but it is good. I have volunteer work, I am CPR certified and, I wrote an essay. I already took pathophysiology and I am in intro right now. Can someone please tell me my possiblity of getting into the program. This is really a make or brake thing for me! thank you everyone
