ASN Program Regis College / Lawrence Memorial Questions
What is the acceptance rate of this progam? Do people accepted get to live on campus at Regis, or is this a commuter program? What did students like / dislike about the program?

If I don't get accepted directly into major...
jhaupert813 Thank you! I wasn't sure if I would have to commit to a different major my freshman year. Your reply was very helpful. Thanks for your help! :)

If I don't get accepted directly into major...
If I don't get accepted directly into the nursing major, but get accepted into the college, do I then have to choose a new major? Or can I be an undeclared major, take pre reqs, and reapply to the nursing program later?

Boston College vs. Northeastern University? If you attended either school.. What schools did you attend previous to BC or NEU? Why did you choose their Pediatric NP program? Thanks in advance! -Sarah

Let's See Some Positivity! :)
Mom to 4, that is awesome! Continuing into graduate school is a great choice for many. I'm sure you'll get many new opportunities for doing so! Congratulations! :) Lynx, I know that people vent. This would be a much better place to do it than while you're at work. People on here will understand better than coworkers or your boss. :) But I did see a post today that was specifically told people to avoid nursing entirely. :/ It kind of bummed me out because I am soooo looking forward to my future! Perpetual Student, I'm glad you love your job. :) Of course some days are better than others, but it's good to here from someone who generally enjoys their work! Thank you for sharing everybody!

Let's See Some Positivity! :)
I am a high school student who is very hopeful about a future in nursing. After joining this website I've received tons of great advice and points of view on my own threads, as well as reading posts from other people. However, I've recently seen a lot of negative posts about nursing. It is okay to vent and be frustrated with your job... but it's seeming more like people are miserable in their career path. SO, now, here I am, looking for a little bit of inspiration. Who LOVES nursing? What makes your job so rewarding? Please share stories. I would love to see some optimism! :)

Lobe Piercings
Woooo! Then hopefully I'll get lucky and be able to keep all of mine in all the time. :) I've always wanted to get my nose pierced, but I've avoided it not knowing if it would be accepted in nursing or not. Again, it will all probably depend on the school and facility, so I'll have to wait awhile longer. :) Thank you!

Lobe Piercings
Yes! I have worn clear earrings in my rook before! Thank you for the link, I will look into buying some. :) They are very helpful.

Lobe Piercings
Thank you everyone for your input! What I'm getting is that the nursing school's are more of an issue about jewelry than hospitals themselves, so hopefully once I'm actually working I can put my second and third sets of lobe studs back in. :) Thank you!

Lobe Piercings
nik415... Ouch.. I'd always wondered why nail polish was such an issue. You bring up a good point with paint chipping into wounds. Thank you for raising that concern!

Lobe Piercings
Glad to see that patient safety is in mind. :) And of course you wouldn't want to lose your ring! That would be awful.

Lobe Piercings
Thank you for your input! I agree with you on the fake nail thing.. I know that they can carry tons of bacteria and can be dangerous around patients. The bracelet thing seems kind of strange. I would think they would get in the way! Why do you choose not to wear things like nail polish or your wedding ring? They don't seem like they would be a problem or affect your work? Just curious. :)

Lobe Piercings
Many have discussed this topic, but I want to know, more specifically, about the number of lobe piercings allowed at your school or workplace. I am aware that I will most likely need to remove my upper cartilage piercing as well as my rook one.. But I do have three sets of lobe piercings which I would like to keep, if possible. How many are allowed at your school or workplace? It would also be great if you could share the area/state of which you work in. Thanks in advance! :)

Bachelors in Nursing to Masters in Psychology?
Is it possible that once you have your BSN to then start a masters program in psychology? Meaning that you're left with two degrees in two different areas? Also, without having to start psychology from square one, but direct entry from a BSN?

Trying to be realistic.. Opinions?
Thanks for telling me about the path you chose! :) Knowing the experiences of others is so helpful!
