  1. Hi! I'm at Henderson State and I've heard some not so great things about it. So I was considering UALR. Have y'all heard good things about the nursing program? Obviously you like it because you've applied.
  2. No luck with the arkansas nurses section on here. Nearly a month with no replies. Can anyone help me??Thaaaaanks
  3. I forgot to say I've lived in Memphis all my life. So I know about the crime, where to go and not go, etc. it's no problem to me. I love the city. Haha so that's not an issue with me
  4. So right now I am at Henderson State University in Arkansas and I was wondering if any of you have any knowledge of the nursing program here..? Also, I am considering transferring to the University of Memphis to be in the Loewenburg School of Nursing in Memphis, TN. Any insight on the programs, professors, and life after graduation is greatly appreciated! Did you like it? Have you heard about these programs? etc. Thank you!
  5. Thanks I sent her an email and we are going to set up a meeting. Do any of you know anything about these 2 programs: Henderson State University (where I am now) & The University of Memphis Loewenburg School of Nursing (my prospective transfer school) ?
  6. I did as much research as I could think to do. It is accredited, but I heard from someone that it almost lost its accreditation last year. I guess that's another thing I will have to talk to the department chair about to get the facts. I am just a freshman and won't start nursing school for at least another year, so transferring nursing credits won't be a problem. Any ideas on exactly how to approach my professor/department chair? Sorry I don't have much experience in things like this. I don't want to sound condescending, of course. Thank you!
  7. Ok sorry it's confusing I want to know opinions on whether I should stay at the school I'm at that has a lower pass rate or transfer to a better program?
  8. hey! i'm new to the site and i really need advice! ok so i'm a freshman beginning my second semester at a pretty small school. when i was applying for school, i thought i would be a biology major, so i didn't check into the nclex pass rates, etc. when i changed my major, i began to research and found that the school i'm at only has a pass rate of about 74% for the past few years. it is a very small school and only about 30 people are accepted into the nursing program each semester. so, i did more research and discovered that the college in my hometown has had a nclex pass rate 95% and up the last 5 years. this past year it was 100%, can't beat that. so..i have no clue what to do and i feel like i have no one to talk to about this decision (neither of my parents went to college & i don't have any siblings). i also have heard that the program at the school i'm at has no pharmacology class and many people are unhappy with the program. but i don't know who i should approach for more information. i could go to the chair of the nursing program, but honestly, i wouldn't know how or what to say to her (& she's my professor for the intro to nursing class i'm in now..awkard) please help! where should i go?
