Tenaya - I am going to focus on the reapplication. I was considering retaking my GRE and possibly at least one prerequisite (mine are approaching the time frame). Are you able to ask the people you volunteer for if you could participate in my hands on interaction with the patients? What is your specialty? Good luck!

Hi tenaya. I replied that I would like to be an alternate and then I was told what position on the list.

Tenaya I was waitlisted too, for AGNP. I am the third alternate, so frustrating. I am going to start to look into ways to make my application better for next year.

I have to agree with you about DUI/DWIs. When I was in undergrad I worked at a firm representing drunks, it made me so disgusted and worried to drive in that town. These people found it funny and sometimes did not even know that they had been driving. One girl was hit by a drunk driver and burned so bad had to have over 20 surgeries. Driving intoxicated can impact many people! I empathize with all the work completed for any degree, but making the decision to get behind the wheel when intoxicated can impact any professional degree (e.g. lawyers cannot get barred with a DUI on record).

I am hoping that they make the decisions earlier than March 15th. It is so hard waiting!

Hi EmmaNP, I am waitlisted as well. From reading the post some people have indicated they are not going to attend, but I am sure there is only a small percentage of people on this site who are attending. What is your specialty? Mine is ANP. Well best of luck!
