  1. Hi everyone, I was part of an ADN program and I failed my two exit exams that are required for the curriculum in the last week of school. I am not sure if nursing is right for me anymore and I am taking the summer to continue working at my mental health job and see if I can explore other school or career options. I feel pretty dispirited as I was fairly close to passing one exam but I am hopeful that even if nursing isn't right for me I will find something else in healthcare or maybe even another field. Has anyone been in a similar situation of failing and found they went back and completed their degree? Thanks for any input!
  2. Woohoo! I got all my stuff done in time as I expected would happen. Ha, I feel you on that stuff. I only have one tattoo so far which is easy to cover up and have been trying to grow my hair out for this entire year to cover the two helix piercings I have. I will have to get some retainers too. Are people interested in joining a FB group for this class? I will make a page if people want to join or maybe people will find out on FB naturally!
  3. I should be getting all the results tomorrow! I have to get a second chickenpox titer but getting the vaccine will at least be enough so I can register. I had to have my drug test resent to another lab because the doctor's office didn't know what the last two non-7 panel things were but I have faith that my doctor's office will turn it around. It's just been a pain going there three times the past few weeks but hopefully tomorrow is the last time!
  4. Yeah, email the person Christa who sent out about the medical requirements. No one at the nursing department in my experience ever answers the phone but Christa will respond the next day. I started trying to get all my reqs done way too last minute but will get them all done in time I hope. Good luck!
  5. It was just me and two administrators/staff.
  6. We are supposed to hear on Monday according to my adviser.
  7. For those still waiting to hear, I went to see my adviser and to try to go to the nursing department today. The department is closed for some reason and my adviser spoke to someone and no one has any information. Going to call the department again tomorrow.
  8. No, I haven't. I actually just got back to the states after being out of the country for two weeks. I will call them next week or see if I can call tomorrow.
  9. At the end of the alphabet and still no word, hope I can find out today!
  10. Ah this waiting has got me on tenterhooks. On vacation and have been anxiously/eagerly awaiting a decision and stressing. What will be will be though. I hope we find out today at least!
  11. I saw the email saying my application was received with the thank you in all caps and got excited too early. They are supposed to send out accepts/denials by May 29th as scheduled.
  12. This thread might be helpful! https://allnurses.com/illinois-nursing/city-of-chicago-786985.html I have it bookmarked at home.
  13. 81.3 overall, 83.3 on reading.
  14. Hey y'all, I submitted my application for the city college ADN program earlier this year and since it is May, I figured I would start this topic for when the admissions decisions come back in a few weeks! I hope I get in, I would be so happy if I did.
