  1. Hey Jenn5980, I am also in California and will be moving for this program! Where in California are you? I'm in the bay area...if you're here too I'm open to meeting up! I've spoken with several people who live or have lived in Chicago and they say a car isn't necessary.
  2. Congrats everyone! I'm almost positive I'll be accepting my spot for the fall class :) I need advice from everyone who lives in Chicago! I've lived almost my entire life in California, so I'm a bit terrified of the winter that I'll experience once in Chicago. Are there certain wardrobe essentials that most Chicagoans have? Are rain boots useful or unnecessary? I sound like a dork but I'm imagining the worst lol I'm quite excited!
  3. @rykii, I also applied to U of Arizona (~$45,000 tuition for entire program) and Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati (~$39,000). DePaul costs almost $68,000 for tuition for this entire program. I live in California, and we don't have too many programs here that offer a direct-entry generalist masters so I mostly applied out of state for that reason. @oh191, it would be lovely and much appreciated if you could ask about financial aid. @sweetie23, I received an e-mail and am waiting on the snail mail to arrive.
  4. I got accepted too! I am also waiting on a few other schools. I would love to go to DePaul, but the cost is much higher than the other programs I'm waiting on. It seems like grad students don't get much help other than in the form of loans. Anyone know more than I do regarding financial aid?
  5. I am worried about being rejected from all the programs I apply to because I keep hearing about how hard it is to get into a nursing program. So far my list of schools I'm going to apply to consists of: SF State CSU East Bay Chabot City College of SF College of San Mateo Evergreen Ohlone De Anza Should I add schools outside of the area/state? Or should I expect to get into at least one of these programs? I have a BA and I'm currently working on my prereqs at a community college. I'm planning to apply next winter. Anyone else apply to most/all of these schools?
