  1. Pity you are not in the UK. I am currently in my 2nd year at Uni, studying adult nursing and 38 out of the 65 in my cohort are male....There's definately something to be said for having more men in nursing, lets face it, nearly half the general population are male, so more male nurses are needed to balance things up. I find personally that many male patients seem much more comfortable have "intimate" procedures carried out by male nurses and there are currently not enough of them out in practice, but it's changing....slowly but surely:) !!
  2. A BIG THANKYOU to everyone who replied to my essay query.... Your input really helped me get started.....Here's hoping for a good grade :wink2:
  3. Should have said that I'm based in the UK, so don't know what HIPPA is and don't think it in force here.
  4. I am currently struggling getting my head round the following assignment. Looking for opinions / views / suggestions on how best to tackle the case scenario provided. PLEASE HELP....:imbar A man in his 30's has been diagnosed with a malignant disease. He's requested that staff don't inform his partner of the diagnosis. His partner arrives and asks you (the student nurse) the results of the patients investigations. Expore & discuss the professional, ethical and legal issues that arise from the scenario.
