  1. I chose CEC, EVC, RRC then Hybrid. Congrats to all! Good luck to those still waiting!
  2. Just got mine! In with 60.09......
  3. angelbabyguh - did she get it today?
  4. Mine is 60.09 - I was ranked 223 when I didn't get in. I retook one class this summer to change a B to an A. Nickasarbata - you are soooooo in!
  5. I'm taking Skills with *******. She is in charge of securing the clinical sites for the entire ACC nursing program. She told us that the lack of clinical space has caused the reduction in the number of students that ACC is able to accept into the nursing program. Since many hospitals are switching to using BSNs in place of ADNs, those hospitals are giving priority for clinical space to schools that offer BSN programs. Which is also why our clinical locations may be a long drive!
  6. Monday's not a school holiday, so I think we could still get them on Monday :)
  7. Awesome! Once again, good luck!
  8. Hey RADIATIONRN2BE - Congratulations! I've been following this site for a couple of years and have really appreciated all the information you have shared. And I can't believe you are already graduating either. Good luck to you in the future! Do you know where you'll be working? :)
  9. Hi elfimka, You are correct; the petition is permission to take Nursing Skills. It doesn't guarantee I will get into the Spring class, but it means my ranking score is high enough that I might get in. I have to take Nursing Skills this semester to be eligible for the Spring class. You also asked about taking co-reqs over to improve your ranking. It is hard to say how much difference it makes, because it depends on where you are in the list, and what other people have (which you don't have any way to know), and they can retake classes too. I applied for the fall with a 54.18. I had a similar ranking score as you: all A's, except 2 B's in co-reqs (speech and psychology - both from 1979!). In the fall, I was ranked number 223. They took 95 students in the fall, but some of the first 95 didn't accept the offer (or pass the background check or did not enter for whatever reason). Someone posted that they were number 124 (which was 99 away from me) and did get in. Since I knew when I reapplied that I would be close to the top 100, but on the edge, I decided it would be a good idea to improve my score. I retook Intro to Psychology over the summer. I think it improved my ranking, but I don't think I will ever know how many people I moved in front of, if any. Hi kmclarty, I don't mind sharing; my ranking is 60.09. However, you might be more interested in the information that was posted today on the ACC Application Status page. Petitions were sent to everyone with a ranking of 57.09 and higher. They also posted that acceptance letters will be sent in the next week!
  10. Check your email. I got a petition. I'm taking the online/hybrid course at RRC on Wednesday mornings. :)
  11. I'm anxiously waiting to hear if I get in this spring. I applied for Fall 2012 with a ranking score of 54.18 (I had two B's) and did not even get offered Nursing Skills. My ranking position was 223 out of 478 applicants. They took 95 applicants. I took Psychology over, so now I have a 55.09 plus 5 for reapplying equals 60.09. I think this will be on the edge. The cutoff for first round (first 95 letters sent) in Fall 2012 was 59.8 points. After deferments and people who didn't pass background checks or dropped out, they ended up taking students whose ranking position was in the 120's, and I don't know what that ranking score was. Tammy did tell me I was a few people away from being able to take the Nursing Skills class in the fall. Good luck to all. It's gonna be a long wait! :) Michelle
  12. I am a first time applicant, applying for Fall 2012 ADN program. I took the HESI today. I made an A and the average today was a 90. I think 55.6 is my rank and I am not planning on trying to retake any of my classes to improve my rank. I hope I can take Nursing Skills this semester. I also hope that ACC will be able to admit more students in the Fall than they did in the Spring so that I will have a better chance of getting in. In the meantime, I am taking Nutrition and Chemistry this semester in case I want to get my BSN. Good luck to everyone!
