  1. Just gotta say I love this thread. I'm a junior nursing student. I know that CRNA school is a while away but wow... I am extremely excited! Kind of weird, perhaps, but I'm the type who yearns for intense academic programs and TONS of learning (I'm also, a little corny ) Basically, thank you to everyone who has shared their experience!!!
  2. Anyone else with info/or advice?
  3. Hi guys!! I just completed my sophomore year in a Bachelors degree program for nursing. I have 2 more years left but..... I hate my school and desperately want to leave. I feel like I have to self-teach myself everything and its just a sucky environment. Sadly, I have to retake my Fundamentals nursing course this summer because I received a C in the class. I'm becoming so unmotivated. I love nursing, don't get me wrong. Its really the setting and people there.... I'd much rather be back in the city of Chicago. The only problem is that I receive great financial aid at my current school. That's the only thing that has kept me there for 2 years. I'm really looking into Resurrection University. I saw a couple of info about it but not too much. Does anybody know the minimum grade requirement to receive in their nursing classes? Is the program organized? Expensive? Do you really graduate in 16 months? Any type of info is appreciated!!
  4. I am also looking into Elmhurst College, just as a back up to the BSN program that I am currently in. I applied for the heck of it as an incoming junior transfer. Just need to send in my transcripts. Fingers crossed :) Hope someone responds so we both get the info we need!
  5. Nursing student here! Very interested
  6. Just wondering :) I see so many things about HESI and very little about ATI. My school uses ATI and requires us to pass it as final exams in most of our nursing courses. How does you school use ATI?
  7. And years later another response.... I am currently in the nursing program at Colby-Sawyer College. I'm not going to sugar coat it. Its very demanding and stressful. I don't have much time for extra-curricular activities nor do I have much of a social life. Most nursing students are OCD here because of the pressure the program is. But the workload generally decreases as you grow more into the porgram so you will have a good amount of ideal time. Its all about have you manage your time. The faculty are very supportive and encouraging. We have clinicals at Dartmouth, which is awesome. If anyone has questions, feel free to ask me.
  8. Hi, So this spring semester I will be starting clinicals for the first time and I'm SOOO anxious, nervous, and a little bit of everything else about the whole experience. Therefore, its only right that I acquire the best type of tools for clinicals. Yet, I don't know where to find a stethoscope! I'm hesitant to settle for online shopping because I would like to actually hold and test out my stethoscope before I purchase it. Can anyone name some great stores where I can purchase a quality stethoscope? I live in Chicago but go to school in New Hampshire btw. Thanks everyone!
