  1. I hope you haven't turned St. Joseph's hospital down. They are excellent in terms of patient care and how they treat their staff. TGH is great for patient care as well but isn't as supportive to their staff so the turnover is higher. I work for St. Joseph's and it's very difficult to get in. Everyone I've spoken to who works there is beyond happy with their job and the benefits are great!
  2. I think $26 base would be a bit more appealing and feasible for me. I tried negotiating but I was told there was no room to negotiate. I'm very torn but at this point but I may just have to walk away and keep looking.
  3. Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. I'm really not used to this at all; in NY I am making $45 plus an hour, so this is very shocking to me as well, but I'm wondering if it all balances out in the end.
  4. I am in dire need of some advice. I was recently offered a position as a Registered Nurse in Tampa. Today I was told that my base pay would be 24.42/hr plus 4.50 night differential and an additional 1.50 weekend differential. In addition, I would be eligible for a clinical ladder differential after 90 days of employment of $2.75/hr. I have 5 years of experience, with approximately 1 year management experience. Is this a fair salary for the Tampa area? I am torn because I really want to leave NY and relocate to Florida, but this seems extremely low. Any thoughts?
  5. Oh Thanks...just found it!!!
  6. Thank you for your response!!!
  7. Thank you! I'm trying to locate the Florida forum with no luck so far. Any tips on how to locate it? I'm pretty new to this site :-)
  8. hey guys, this is my second post on the same topic (my first post seem to have disappeared as i am unable to find it). anyhow, i am currently an rn in new york with plans of relocating to west palm beach florida. i have been working as an rn for almost 4 years. i would greatly appreciate anyone with knowledge of both hospitals to please give me their opinions; most importantly, i'd like to know the salary :-) i was also checking out boca raton regional hospital and i am impressed by what i saw online. does anyone have any information on this hospital as well (including the salary)? i have been surfing the net daily but i am unable to find much. by the way, my experience has been on a med-surge telemetry floor. please help :-)
