Hello, Anybody find it difficult to get someone on the phone? There are a lot of variables and moving parts to my decision to attend before I send a non-refundable $500 deposit. I have important questions I need answered about student loans and the course schedule for the program. I applied to Sallie Mae and it basically said "the program for which you are applying the loans has to begin within 6 months", which is a pain because I need to know now if I can get the funding but the program starts 7/8 months from now. I am also currently accepted to CCP's program which I only have until September 3rd to withdraw from without any academic/financial consequences. I also don't want to forfeit my spot at CCP just to learn I can't get the funding for Drexel. Anyone else having these issues?

how long did it take from when you received your acceptance letter until you received your financial aid package information? there is a message on my drexel portal page which states the following (and i am sure is standard on every students page): congratulations on your admission to drexel university! we are currently reviewing your account and finalizing your financial aid package for the bachelor of science in accelerated career entry bsn program for the 2012-2013 academic year. you will be notified via mail if any additional information is required to complete your financial aid award. also did you receive it via regular mail or email? thanks!

Hi, I filled out my online application on the July 17th, transcripts were sent on the 18th so I am assuming they got there by the 23rd or 24th. I received my acceptance package in the mail yesterday which was the 30th. I think that was reallllly fast and I am surprised they responded so quickly considering how late I applied. Kinda makes me wonder if they are desperate for students lol? Anybody know how many students they are accepting for this cohort?

Hi, I was going to drive there too but when I googled it I got the impression the KOP address is just their offices, not a retail shop. Also when I looked around on their site, I couldn't find anywhere that it said it had an actual store.

I think the orientation was fine and well organized. They even gave color coded folders and a schedule with times and room numbers of where to go for each task! LOL I did notice a lot of lost, confused, and non compliant students not following directions and not going where their color code suggested they go. I'm glad it was over faster than the expected though.

Hi, I haven't received anything. I personally wouldn't be worried since you have an acceptance letter plus proof they cashed your deposit. You can always email or call...or if you live close by or are in the area just stop by W2-5. I forgot to write back that I am definitely interested in the CPR class.

How much and when??

Congratulations!!!! You must be soooooo relieved! No I haven't received anything, and I know they processed my payment because I saw the transaction on my bank statement online. Lets update each other/this post about orientation info too.

Thank you and good luck to you too! I had to pay a $50 deposit, which I mailed Saturday. They will probably send me the orientation info once they receive my deposit so they know I definitely accept. I will keep you posted.

Thanks so much!! Yep, if you see that curriculum change then you know your in! When I was waiting I'd check my curriculum everyday, at least twice a day...you never know when someone is going to go in and change it LOL. O.K well I'm anxious for you and if you get in too it will be nice that we kinda know someone already.

Hi, I got my acceptance letter today! All I have to do is submit my $50 deposit and I'm all set. The lady who ran the meeting I attended basically said the same thing about earlier app submission being better. I thought she said something like they go by score and then date and that they make a pile of all the 9's and put them in chronological order and offer acceptance based on the app date, then once they're done with the 9's they do the same with the 8's, then the 7s. I forget if she said they send out letters before or after the last AHT, but I guess I'm proof they do regardless lol. Well keep us posted, I'm sure a bunch of other people are following this post even if they never commented.

No actually mine doesn't say pending anywhere....not on the enrollment profile page anyway LOL. Even though it doesn't say pending and seems set in stone, I'm kinda scared it's some weird technicality and they're just reviewing my application since I haven't actually received a letter. I sent in my application really early like around the 2nd week of October. I took my AHT on November 2nd at 9 a.m. When did you send in your application and when did you take your AHT?

Hi, Thanks! It just changed from CST to Nursing, I didn't see pending anywhere. I won't feel satisfied until I get a letter in the mail though. I know how you feel I was checking everyday too until it just changed lol.

Hi, I just checked my curriculum on my enrollment profile and it's been changed to Nursing! I haven't received a letter in the mail yet though. I'll keep you updated.

I meant to write any new information regarding the letters. I didn't want you guys to think I meant your info wasn't reliable. LOL

That's a good idea...Ill definitely update this discussion as soon as I receive a letter. I'll also update if I find out any information regarding when to expect the letters from a RELIABLE source (reliable like a counselor or someone that is directly involved in the decision making process.)

ohhhh that makes a lot of sense about more applicants = more processing time = later admission letters. I read on another discussion on here that when your accepted they change your curriculum to Nursing and then you get the letter a few days later. I wonder if thats true? It doesn't really make sense because you have to send a $50 deposit to hold your seat/confirm acceptance, so why would they change someones curriculum before they even know if they definitely accept? My sister likes the program, especially the cost of tutition lol.
