I teach English in northern Japan and have been invited to give an hour and a half presentation on terminal care at a nurses` college. The students are cheerful and very interested in the US methods of nursing. I have been given their questions in advance and hoped that some of you might be able to help me answer them (I know very little about terminal care, nursing, so need all the information I can get). 1. In the US do nurses wear nurse caps? 2. Do the families participate in the terminal care process? If so, what do they do? 3. Are all "Hospices" oriented towards terminal care? 4. How long do nurses work a day? 5. Are there more men nurses or women nurses in the US (any statistics would be very helpful)? Please include any other information you think they ought to know. Thanks!
