Hello, I am new to this too. I am going into my second semester of nursing school and it is tough, but I am confident I'll get through Lord willing. I wanted to comment on the TEAS test. I stressed out about it when I took it too, and did fine. Know your medical math and conversions. Practice reading comprehension. Dont get to worked up, you made it this far it is likely you will pass. The time given is plenty, I had almost an hour extra. Just keep calm and think before you answer questions. I am not the smartest by far and I got 90 on reading and 85 on math. Anyway Good luck and be prepared for the first semester. Get organized with everything. Do anything you can that will save you energy and time during school. Dont be to proud to ask for help, seek out a mentor, nursing school is not like anything else I have ever done. I have 5 years of college behind me, I was used to memorization. Not so with nursing school. You have to KNOW IT and KNOW WHY! Get ahold of your nursing book and try to find someone that can provide you with a syllabus for the first courses. Study, use any extra time you have wisely. Dont let the instructors intimidate you, some will try. Stand up for yourself. You have a right to see tests and ask the instuctor to go over them in class. Demand that your instructors do their part in helping you to succeed. Some are there for reasons unknown and make it obvious they are not willing to go the extra mile. Dont be pushy but do stand up for yourself. Dont be afraid. I wish you all luck in your first semester.
