  1. ya it being such a big company, i know i already impressed the department director but background checks are done through a hiring manager with HR, so ultimatly its up to them
  2. ive been told, by managers directly "gpa has to do with what you learn in school in your books, and as we all know, books don't have anything to do with nursing!" its all about hands-on, not what grades you got for reading those books!! experience over anything else!!
  3. so, not sure if im allowed to specify, but i figure its a pretty large company. a baylor hospital i had a low-level misdemeanor----street racing a car----i was 17, im 25 now, did 12 month deferred adjudication, it was disposed im currently on probation------silent/abusive 911 call---------12 months deferred, will be done and disposed sept 2012. anyone know if ill be denied the job strictly if im currently on probation? or will they give me a chance? sort of like a case by case deal? and just to clear up the 911 call, (im sure people will ask), my phone was used to dial 911 while i was administering care, im a LP. knowingly allowing someone to use your phone can still constitute a crime, it was an INSANELY DISTRAUGHT family member, didn't get any of their information, unfortunatly, before i got any of their information they were gone and never to be found again. and, as well as know, you cant dig very far, with HIPAA being involved. i would also appreciate LEAVING OUT any feedback about what i could have done differently with this situation, or how to find them, etc. the case is closed and literally nothing can be done, my plea was no contest, end of story. so im not really interested in what i could have done differently, i had a legal counsel to take care of that end. any feedback would be greatly appreciated
