  1. I was going to work after so I was wearing scrubs. I saw people walking in wearing jeans. I am so excited and can't wait for the 25th!!
  2. I had my appt today. She said to call or email your manger before orientation to touch base and talk about schedule after orientation.
  3. Good to know, I figured we would do week of computer training etc and then go to our floors. However I got the impression from my interview and from another new grad that we work three 12 hrs shift plus 1 day of school for the first 3 months. The new grad specifically told me this because she was warning me not to get used the paycheck from working the extra 4 days a month. So I am curious to see what the result is going to be.
  4. b217 Thanks, I just checked and I did get the email too! Does anyone have any idea how long we will be in orientation/training before we start at our selected hosp? Just curious, I'm so excited!
  5. I have not received the call yet but I did turn my background info in late so I'll give it till the end of the wk. For those who have received a call was it to schedule your physical exam etc? If you are working right now have you given your two weeks notice yet?
  6. @ peppered and Christine19 Your welcome!!
  7. Alternates, based off previous threads most alternates did receive a position with Scripps. Not necessarily when the cohort started, some started after. You can either get a spot if someone withdrawals through the hiring process or sometimes they just open up more spots. For some it took a couple of months after being selected as an alternate to be given an offer. Hang in there! To all others DO NOT GIVE UP, you can take a break if you need to, I did. But do not give up on your dream and all of the hard work you did to become a nurse! This was my 5th application to Scripps and I finally got in!!
  8. I got the call at 5:30.
  9. Don't give up hope yet!!! I just got the call!! Scripps Encinitas here I come!!
  10. I am so excited for those receiving offers! Congrats!....my phone is now glued to me. I hope I get a call too!
  11. Coffee sound good :) Good Luck tomorrow!
  12. I was confused as well, especially because they called me the morning of my interview. Use the addresses Coriander gave you. The buildings for 9619 Chesapeake or 9444 farnham are right next to each other. So you will not get lost if you mapquest either address. There is parking behind 9444. Also I arrived 15 min early and they took me in right away!I was caught off guard thinking I would be sitting around for a bit.
  13. I do not remember exact questions but they were all behavioral. Name a time when.....give us an example when....It all had to do with your personality and how you handle situations.
  14. They gave us sheet with info and it stated that we would know by December 7th if we were selected or not. I asked how many they were hiring and they said about 50.
