2015 Requirements for APRN certification
Hi everyone, I'm looking into NP programs, and the eligibility requirements and am finding myself confused. While I was in school, an instructor has mentioned that in 2015, all APRNs will have to get a DNP in order to become certified. However, all of the research I am seeing is making it appear that this is not the case. So, here's the question: does one require a DNP in order to be eligible for an APRN role? Or does a masters degree with appropriate certificates still suffice? Also, resources would be appreciated! Thank you! Joseph

Finished my MSN this morning - ask me anything!
Thank you for being so receptive to questions! I am nearly done with my associate RN program and am looking at schools to continue education through. 1) It is my understanding that the classes for WGUs RN-BSN are done one at a time, at your own pace. On average, how long did it take to complete a class? 2) How are the e-books delivered? Is it via Kindle format? Did they send an ebook disc to you? 3) How did you find WGU regarding credit transfers? I was on the phone with a rep from WGU today and they are refusing to view my transcripts until I am finished with my ASN and working as an RN. 4) How did proctored exams work? I've heard there's a webcam involved...

How to Become IV certified.
I'm simply trying to gain more experience as I'm certain ill eventually need the skill. I figure it can only help as far as finding a job goes. I understand that hospitals usually require their nurses to be IV certified through the hospital regardless of prior certification. I've been taught everything about IVs, just have not been trained on how to place one. It would be great if someone could provide a resource or company that offers certification.

How to Become IV certified.
Hello, I am a certified CNA, wrapping up my first year of nursing school. As is becoming the standard, I am not going to be IV trained during this program (I guess it normally happens as an on the job training now days). I'm looking into becoming IV certified over the summer, but have no idea where one can acquire such certification or what requirements it may have. Any input is helpful! By the way, I live in Minneapolis mn. Thanks! Joseph Gundlach

HESI A2 Reference sheet provided for testing? (+ calculator question)
Hello, * I will be taking the HESI A2 in January and am currently studying and preparing for the test. I was wondering, is a reference sheet provided for the exam? I am talking about a reference sheet containing info such as formulas for physics, chemistry, and math.* Also, is a calculator provided for each and every math problem (regardless of level of*difficulty)? Thank you for your help!
