I have read a lot of post inquiring about Chamberlain and out of town students. I am currently in Chamberlain and my experience with the school has been entirely negative and on hind sight a waste of my time and money. If you are planning on going to Chamberlain and are out of town, the chances are that you may have to do your clinicals and validation in Missouri. If you know you can not handle that, DO NOT EVEN BOTHER AT ALL because you're gonna fall behind in the program and not get credit for work done because you didn't complete your clinical requirement. The staff is not helpful at all and communication with them is a nightmare. You will find yourself fighting with them most of the time and some had to seek legal action just to get things done. Chamberlain can no longer offer RN with the PN component. But they are not telling you that. They ended up asking a bunch of student to drop out and start from scratch with the new curriculum after completing the first half of the program.....crazy I thought. (what about tuition/loan spent for that year?) So please be VERY VERY CAREFUL if you want to take the online program at Chamberlain and are out of state. I am HIGHLY not recommending the online program to anyone. They claim there are going through changes but I am yet to see! I have nothing against the school but I have a conscience and cannot withhold this information to innocent students/parents/husbands/wives wanting to better their lives by having a degree in nursing. I owe this to you all. I could write a book about Chamberlain and get a bestseller award. Mom06grad!
