Do not feel that way at all. I am a 26 yr. old single mother of a two year old girl (terrible twos), always wanted to become a nurse but decided to get my first degree in Criminal Justice in 2008 instead. I had a fear of Anatomy or yet any science. I am now taking the prerequisites to apply to the nursing school at the college I attend now. I first worked in a prison after obtaining my first degree and my daughter was a newborn then and I couldn't stand the risk of me not coming home to her due to the dangers of my job. So I decided to face my fears of science classes and go back and get my second degree in nursing. Stepping out on faith, I have never been so happy before. I finally am happy with my decision to nursing instead of doing something I disliked as a career. So don't think that your age is of importance...YOU CAN DO IT. It's better late than never. I did and so have others in are age range. I wish you the best of luck :)
