  1. We would love to have you! We never turn down good help, lol! I've been a nurse here since nsg school in '82 (now THAT'S old) and I love it. Of course I am partial to a certain trauma center that I work at ( I am a neonatal nurse.) Where are you from? Husband, family?
  2. Savannah is a great place to live. I was recently looking online at homes in CA (Santa Clarita area) and the same homes here for around $250,000 would be around $400,000-600,000 there, depending where you were. I would say a decent "starter" home is about $125,000. I have worked at Memorial Health for 22 years (since graduating nursing) and have not been lured away by other hospitals in my area. Sure, we have our ups and downs like any other major company with as many employees, but nothing that would make me leave. Mostly growing pains, nsg shortage, etc. The same stuff everyone else is facing. The communication between staff, managers, and administrators is excellent. Let me know if I can answer any other questions.
  3. That it's ok to cry with the family when your patient dies. They usually appreciate it!
  4. Can anyone tell me about the nsg program at UGA? I know it is through MCG, but aren't some classes via telemedicine and clinicals are done in/or near Atlanta? Is it better to go to UGA for 2 yrs and then transfer to Augusta for nsg? I'm an 82 BSN graduate of MCG, but my daughter really wants to go to UGA! Thanks for any info you can offer.
