Rio Hondo College ADN 2013
Yours do as well! The fact that you have healthcare experience is worth tons!! I wish you good luck as well. For the "need to work " get your employer to write a short statement. Then in addition to that, you can write a personal statement re any hardship during your studies/life. Hopefully we'll get in right away!! :)

Rio Hondo College ADN 2013
Hi there, yup no prob. Science GPA: 4.0, Overall 3.3 (taking winter course so it may go up...), B.A. in Criminal Justice from George Washington U. , fluent in Spanish (was my first language), "Need to work" during my prereqs (I have a mortgage, 2 kids, and bills, LOL), "First generation to go to college", so hopefully some points there...I am missing the healthcare experience piece of it. I am in a completely different field that pays very well, so for me to do something like get a CNA cert and get $10/hr is completely out of the question right now. I am busting my behind to pay off all my (smaller) debt and save some $$$ so that I can quit once I get into a program. Hopefully they'll take that into consideration!!! :/

Rio Hondo College ADN 2013
Hey everyone, I'm getting ready to apply to Rio Hondo in a few weeks to meet the March 2013 deadline for ADN. I know their selection is based off of a point system, so I was hoping that most of you who have been accepted for the Spring 2013 class could post your stats, just to get an idea of where I stand. Also, they don't tell you at the info session but how many points did those who get accepted have?? Thanks!!

APU Undergrad GPA requirements
Hi everyone, This is my first time posting and I was hoping I could get some info from those of you that have been accepted or are currently in APU's nursing program--- specifically the ELM (entry level master's) program. Even though I went to a pretty competitive university, My undergrad GPA was not the greatest (2.6...yikes) as I had to work 2-3 jobs at an given time to pay for books, expenses, etc. I started taking the science pre-reqs Citrus College in 2009 and have been kicking butt, getting A's. I also am doing volunteer work as a clinical care extender. I'm wondering if anyone has gotten into APU's nursing program(s) with crappy undergrad GPA's. Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks!
