if you dont mind my asking, which hospital do you work at?

that's a problem with a lot of hospitals. it took 2 months to get a response to my resume in seattle, 3 months to get a call from tampa general here in florida, and now i work at lakeland regional in florida, where i somehow got an immediate response. i have about 6 years experience in just about any hospital unit there is (i work float pool) and 9 years experience in LTC facilities. nothing but excellent references, and never been fired from any position, or written up even once... so the problem must be on the recruitment side. lots of others have told me the same thing. elliot was the only place i contacted, but they refused to discuss even a general payscale. i see manchester is very small and has few hospitals.. but still, i wanna live and work there pretty damn bad. looks like a wonderful place to raise my kids.

i could understand in nursing homes... but 10 an hour at a hospital? that's outrageous! i was making 19 an hour in seattle, and new hampshire supposedly pays better than washington. i thought i had it bad HERE! there's no way i would do what i do for ten bucks an hour. thats crazy.

hey there. im moving to manchester very soon, and have questions about the pay for lna's. ive worked ltc facilities for 10 years, (rehab and snf) about 4 years acute care in the hospital setting, and one year float pool in the hospital setting. my pay rate was pretty good in seattle, where i worked acute care.. but the pay here in florida is terrible...i currently work a very large and busy acute care unit outside of orlando and i made better money doing next to nothing at the nursing home. ive looked at average salary rates online, but i know better than to take those numbers very seriously. anyone know what i can realistically expect per hour when i get up there? ive contacted elliot hospital, and they say i need an interview first....
