  1. Anyone do the capstone classes? Did you work on it concurrently with your clinicals. I'm probably going to do the Professional paper. I was going to jump start it since I'm waiting for clinicals to start.
  2. I just finished the new health assessment 601 class. you have to record yourself examining a "volunteer" patient. Save it as a zip drive when you submit it. Otherwise the file will be too big to submit. Class wasn't too bad. Definitely easier than NP 602 and NP 603.
  3. I talked to my advisor. They are the same ones. Sorry for the scare!
  4. There are new FNP classes that are effective July 2012! Its more credit hours although the website states you only need 48 to graduate.
  5. Is it just me, or did they just add more classes?
  6. Norik95, Calculate how many hours the four nurses would work, don't forget to subtract vacation and sick days. Subtract the number of hours they can work from the number of hours you need filled. When you see how many hours are left you can figure out how many more nurses you will need. There's no right answer...it could be two full time and one more part time nurse...or three part time nurses...
  7. Canchaser, that sucks! Is there anyway you can offer to buy him lunch once a week and work on it together? Im really worried about finding preceptors....
  8. Thanks! The website has listed two summer courses for the practitioner program that would be completed in one week for each. They are 3 credits a piece....so I was wondering if they changed something. They are on x-ray reading and other clinical based things. About turning in assignments....My informatics class required us to wait to turn in our assignments but my politics class instructor said to turn in my assignments as I finished them. I guess it depends on the instructor.
  9. I looked at the website and now they have 2 courses that are to be taken at the college? I thought we didnt have to go there for the summer? Does anyone know more about this?
  10. I have taken Informatics and Politics. I went out of order. I will be starting Leadership next week.
  11. I'm about to finish up on nursing politics. Interesting class. There is a quiz in unit 4 but it isn't timed. Good luck. I used both books that were required for the class.
  12. I have been able to do it while working full time with two kids and a third on the way. I've been completing each class in about two months. I could probably do it faster if I werent so exhausted from pregnancy! Good luck. It's a lot of papers. I downloaded a program from the Internet called PERRLA which automatically puts your papers in the APA format and keeps your references for future papers. I buy my books from half.com which are considerably less than the bookstore!
  13. Thanks Tracy and Canchaser! Info is helpful for thoughs of u's just starting out. Anyone know anything about south Carolina?
  14. Just bought my books for nurs politics on half.com for about 13 bucks total and half of that was shipping. Also I will be selling my books from nursing informatics soon if anyone wants them let me know
  15. I'm taking informatics and its pretty easy. I will try the leadership class
