I'm a new grad, and was offered a similar orientation at a large hospital in the peri operative specialty. I would assume its standard, as even nurses who were switching specialties were offered the same orientation. We will go through all of the different surgical specialties, and I'm assuming that has something to do with the length.

Ahhh yes, that's me :-) I've been at work since 5p and can't access FB on the desktop computer from here. When I had checked before I left the house I didn't have access, sorry!! I sent my request in to be added to the FB group, but haven't been actually added yet. I would love to have the list lol, I like to be prepared. I'm guessing there is a way on here to message you information privately like my cell number so we can coordinate a time to meet up? I'll try to find a way.

Ok, this will probably sound like a dumb question, but since I haven't gotten my schedule I have no idea which texts are used for which class. Which one is this for and do we have homework in it or is that referring to a different Taylor book? Also, how would I go about getting you the $$ and picking up the book?

I have no idea lol. I'm assuming I will be assigned the schedule of whatever students place I'm taking. Also, Ms Anderson said that she would be sending me an email to make it official I guess?? I haven't gotten an email yet, though she said it would be a little while until the courses showed up on mylonestar. I'm hoping I get the email soon, makes me nervous lol!!! Anyone else get told the same thing?

So so so excited :w00t: I tried to access the FB page to put in my request, but I can't seem to find it. Help please??

About flippin' time!! Walked out to the mailbox after realizing my hubby didn't check the mail today and there is the d@mn blue card I've been waiting on. I was about to go apeshi!t on someone at the Texas BON. SMH. This stress can't be healthy!! Are they going to hand out xanax at orientation?? I might need one...

And just as a heads up, do not email Ms Anderson asking where you are on the list or trying to make sure she has your correct contact information. I wrote 5 simple sentances and got a one liner in response "We do not give out where the students are on the alternate list." I don't think I will email her again, don't want to make her mad.

Ok, I did my fingerprints on the 3rd and haven't gotten my blue card in the mail either. But there was an email update from Kim Anderson about the deadline for items being submitted has moved to Dec. 2nd. Not sure if this includes the blue card along with everything else. The blue card is all I have left to turn in

I did, I filled out the information today. Basically they wanted to know your full name, any other names you've used, your social (as you know it lol), and your previous addresses for the last 7 years. I don't get why it's seperate from the background, I figured the verification of your social security would be part of the background instead of a seperate step. HTH.

I just found this thread and am hello :-) I'm on the alternate list at Cy Fair and very confused. I've done everything that's been asked of me, now I'm waiting on this darn blue card to come in the mail. I did the fingerprinting on Nov. 3rd, but have yet to get anything. I am so nervous that I won't get it by the deadline on the 23rd!! Ms. Anderson said all communication would be through email, so I don't really understand why people are getting phone calls from her. I haven't gotten one and my stomach is in knots. Anyone in the same shoes?? Ohh and my score was a 11.3228 (I think).
