  1. A friend of mine, who worked as a LVN for a few years before going back to become an RN, said that it's a lot harder to get back into "school mode" after being in the workforce for a long period of time. When I was considering my options he recommended that I go straight to BSN for these reasons: 1. It's easier to further my education (or switch career paths) with a BSN than an ASN. 2. I won't have to switch from "school mode" to "work mode" to "school mode" to "work mode" (bad habits can sneak up on you!) 3. You never know what can happen in the future that might complicate going back to school (ie: starting a family). I really hope someone more knowledgable comes along to help you, but I wanted you to know that you aren't being ignored. :)
  2. Thank you. Now instead of worrying about whether or not I will get in, I get to worry about covering all the expenses. I had 65 points from the pre-requisite classes (one B for anatomy), 20 points for the TEAS (80+% overall), and 0 bonus points. Total of 85 points. I won't lie, even after I got my TEAS results I was stressing about being accepted. Congratulations, mjmoon!
  3. Ah, thanks for the contract information. I had also heard about the 3 year contract for LAC USC, though from a former classmate who was looking into it.
  4. I received my acceptance letter from LA County today. Good luck!
