  1. This will be my first time doing travel nursing. I received my first pay package offer from one agency. To me, it seems really low. But I was wondering if maybe anyone out there who's experienced will travel nursing can take a look at the package and see if it is low. I'm planning to contact another agency to compare packages as well. I was offered $18/hr (1.5 aster 8hours=$21/hr) I think the aster was a typo in the email. Not sure what that means though. Gross pay /week =$1831 but only taxed on $756/week. I tried using pantravelers but not really sure how to fill that out. haha. Anyone able to kind of eyeball the numbers and see if it is a low pay contract? Thanks so much!
  2. I'm applying for me license to CA through endorsement. I know that we need to have our official transcripts sent to the board of nursing through the school. But my question is...do we have to have that "request for transcript" form sent to the school to send with our official transcripts? I am able to have that request for transcript form sent out with my official transcript from the nursing school I went to. But I went to 2 community colleges to do some general education requirements and another university for 2 years. So I can just request for my official transcripts to just be sent to the board? Or does it have to have that form with it? Sorry for repeating myself. Please let me know someone! Thanks
  3. sorry to reply back so late...no they didn't tell me the cut off points. My friend actually called the nursing advising center and asked what the cut off was for the summer semester and and they said they don't know. But said that alot of people were close to the cut off by 1/100th of a point or something like that. I have my contract signing session on the 23rd and if I find out the cut off i'll let you know. My points if i calculated correctly was about 86 points. What is your points?
  4. I applied to summer 2012. I got the call yesterday so i'm in! =) Super excited! Did you apply?
  5. My rejection letter came....i didn't get in. If you haven't heard from them..check your mail...
  6. ooo i see...yea everything is so much work just to try and make it to the top 48. Do you think you can let me know what the cut off points were for the past 2 semesters if you do call? thanks.
  7. Did you apply for the spring 2012 too? Yea I completed all my prereqs. But since i haven't heard from the bsn program yet, i'm guessing i didn't get in for spring. I'm probably gonna retake chem 111 since i got a C+...but that'll only raise my points by like 1 or 2 points? but better than nothing i guess. I feel like it's impossible to get into this program... =(...what's your total points?
  8. My total score was about 85.7. 98 points is definitely a guarantee into the bsn. Since the total points is out of 100.7 or something like that...Did your friend calculate the total score correctly? The average score of the hesi isn't included in the calculation (which gives a higher total score)..has your friend heard from the nursing school yet?
  9. Hi, I also applied to the BSN spring 2012...I haven't heard from them yet. I give it until friday (tomorrow) for them to call...if not then that probably means we didn't get it. Let me know if your friend got the call and got in! Good luck to your friend! Hopefully i get in too!
