Hey has anyone on here gone to the 6 hour lab? How was it?

It looks like all we need to do is read chapter 3 and 4 in the Wilson and giddens book. Bring ur stethescope and watch to class.

Oh we will for sure see each other then! Maybe we can get a study group together for future Mondays..just to make good use of that break.

I was only going to bring the Taylor book to.1155. In the syllabus she says its up to the student on what books they bring. That's a hefty load though lol. I am planning on sticking around,but I do have to go the bookstore because I realized I am missing a book. So I have to run and get it and do a little reading. Are staying on campus?

I am wearing my scrubs tommorow too since I have the Monday afternoon lab as well! See everyone in the morning...I wish I.wasn't sooo nervous lol

Jan starts! Is anyone else getting a little nervous/ excited? I already have firat day jitters lol. I think all of us have the same 8am class tommorow right?

I took my BLS at Richmond/ Lenox ems. They offer it once a month for $50.00. The guy that teaches it is great:)

rnstudenthpfl-Hey, when you said you spent about 600.00 on books was that just going off of the list they mailed? I was on the bookstores website and they recommend a ton more books then just the ones listed? Where there certain books listed, that we can skip?

Thanks guys I called the office as soon as I saw that. No I never got the physical form, I got the ace passport info. So I got my form and was able to pick up the syllabus.THANK goodness for this site and everyone's posts and info, or I would have been none the wiser, as I have gotten other letters from the school.

I have yet another silly question.. I start in Jan and just got the letter from MCC, asking if people currently work in hospitals, or weekend prefrences, does that mean clinicals can be done on weekends?

Thank you for the update...I know its gonna be crazy with school starting like right after the holidays...I have a question, I was wondering what the lastest class goes to? I mean, how late can I expect to be at school or a clinical? I working on setting up a job (still have to find one lol) part time and figured I cld say I am able to work 6pm and later. I am sooooo excited and yet soooo very nervous. Any more updates from people that have already started? :)

So as far as getting immunizations...should I wait til I get the info sheets? I have the list from orientation, but do I need specific forms signed? I am scared that I will go to the health dept, etc and then get the packet and will need to repeat steps. I don't start til jan but wanna make sure I am on schedule.

thank you jag10000,it helps to have idea of what the costs are. Hoepfully next semester will be a little less costly as you will have your immunizations done, and some supplies already bought. It is a big investment but like said should be well worth it. I still havent recieved my physical forms, but I dont start til Jan. I recieved the MSU info and am still considering it. I am wishing all of the August starts a wonderfulllllll first semester, and am rooting for you!!!!(PS any advice or even the occasional posts on how it is going would be awesome!) Also when does the August semester begin?

I got a january start. Does anyone know if the books for the program change a lot? I would like to start buying texts during the next few months, basically while I am working full time to lessen the financial blow. Even though I dont start til January I am getting excited and nervous!!!!

Wow that's a little bit of a wait. I have to start getting all of my immunizations and job hunting going now. I need to find something that let's me work around school. Unfortunatly I will be paying all out of pocket. I am hoping to get back into a hospital. Judging by my rank,96 I am thinking January. It will be nice to have that confirmation letter.
