  1. May I ask if you applied for the Fall or Spring? Whom did your letter of rec. come from?
  2. Thanks for info, I will be seeing what happens. I haven't decided what plan of action to take. I was thinking about maybe doing a Bachelor's in something else and later on applying for nursing again. The trip sounds like a haul : | it takes me 2 trains to get to UMass and about 45mins to an hour. Not too practical, and in terms of moving it's pretty hard...my SO and I just moved up here and he works in the city. Paying to get into a private Uni for Nursing just doesn't make sense either. Do you already have a Bachelor's? I'm wondering what it was that made me not get accepted. My grades are all A+ except for 1 B. I had a great essay, a great letter from an experienced surgical RN. Will my chances be slim as well if I reapply during the fall is what I'm thinking.
  3. Thanks, finding this out today on my birthday is very devastating specially since I waited the whole month to find out... Salem is a bit far for me, how much less is it? I take it's not T accessible?
  4. I found out, I didn't get in. My major was changed in the status application
  5. szy I believe that they won't be transferred, however, I'm unsure. I know clinicals don't transfer.
  6. Thanks for the info Liz! I'm still waiting to find out about acceptance. I'm a nervous wreck lol but maybe no news is good news for now...
  7. Liz, by any chance do you know anything about the Chancellor's Scholarship, it's basically a full ride and of course...competitive. How many people receive it? Is it just one person?
  8. Have you heard anything back yet?
  9. I will definitely keep you updated.
  10. Got it. I was unsure because I thought decisions were made in the last of Nov. and sent out then so they arrive in the first of Dec.
  11. Oh my! So sorry to hear this, was there a reason for it? Can you pm me?
  12. I put in my application on the 24th. I went in perfect to hand over my package and make sure that it was complete and I didn't miss anything. I received an email that confirmed that my application was received and in the system; that's when the pin and app #s are sent. 2 weeks down! 2 more to go! We are half-way there!
  13. I was also wondering how long is this program? I'm looking around and it seems like there might be a slight possibility of having to move from Boston if I were to not to make the right connections in order to get a job placement later down. I mean, are hospitals like Mass General and Beth Israel only hiring experienced grads and/or Tufts or Harvard students?
  14. Thanks Lizbee for all this info. I have got to say I'm unsure of how I stand ATM, I think my entry app was strong but it's not over until it's over. Waiting is just killing me! That is odd about the clinical, by those in charge whom do you mean? Also, about the clinicals not being during summer...are they done during the school year, meaning sep-may/june? What is the average GPA of the students applying? I heard it was between 3.2 and 3.7.
  15. Has anyone else applied for this program? I'm seeing that some are in the accelerated program, but little mention of the traditional. It be nice to know others that are in this with me Btw, I am in the nursing pool, hooray for making the first cut!
